At such time, areas of the project site will be made available to all prospective bidders and subcontractors to view. Failure to attend the non-mandatory prebid conference will not be accepted by the City as a basis for making a claim of bid error.

Description: The project involves the preparation of a site for an interim fire station located at 2269 Alessandro Drive, covering an area of 1.9 acres. The site preparation includes soil remediation, rough grading, and concrete foundation and pavement installation. Additionally, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work will be required to support the prefabricated modular buildings, which consist of an office, an apparatus bay, and a gym. The excavation will cover a footprint of 0.67 acres to a depth of 7 feet to lower the shallow groundwater level. After dewatering the site, a 10-foot layer of compacted soil will be used to refill the excavated area according to the rough grading. The contractor will install on-site utility services and route the electricity to a city-purchased generator. To manage on-site runoff, a bio-swale will be constructed to the south of the station, directing water into the existing 12-inch storm culvert. The existing entrance driveway will be replaced with new concrete pavement. An underground sewer clarifier will also be installed on the new pavement to handle wash water from the fire trucks. All related work will be carried out in accordance with Drawing No. 2025-D-010 and in compliance with the project specifications. The Engineer's Estimate for the cost of this project is $5,990,216.
