Conducting Procurement Unit: Utah Department of Natural Resources
Participation in this solicitation is limited to prequalified contractors only. Do NOT submit if you are not on the current Pre-approved/Pre-qualified Vendor list.
The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract to provide: Wildland fire hazard reduction by mechanically removing/shredding standing live and dead pinyon and juniper trees and saplings with a wheeled or tracked MECHANICAL MULCHING/SHREDDER (Bullhog/Fecon or AFE device) in a base area of 626.2 acres, with three options that could expand the project area up to $1,298.6 acres total.
Mandatory Site Visit: A site visit will NOT be held prior to bidding. It is strongly recommended that each potential bidder inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor.
Project Performance Time: September 1, 2025 -November 30, 2025; with potential for extended performance time of December 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025 at the discretion of the project manager, and is not guaranteed. Due to possible fire restrictions, if awarded the contractor must be aware of the current fire restriction status during the performance
window.
Vendor must guarantee its pricing through completion of the project.
