Description: The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) operates the state’s residential juvenile justice programs and oversees locally operated foster care, child abuse prevention, daycare, and Youth Development Program. The OCFS Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) operates the residential programs for juvenile delinquents and juvenile offenders and is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB). OCFS seeks qualified contractors to provide speech services for juvenile delinquent youth and youthful offenders residing in any of our nine locations (see Attachment 3). These locations include Brentwood Residential Center, Brookwood Secure Center, Finger Lakes Residential Center, Goshen Secure Center, Harriet Tubman Residential Center, Highland Residential Center, Industry Residential Center, MacCormick Secure Center, and Taberg Residential Center. The lowest cost qualified vendor(s) who meet all the mandatory requirements will be awarded the contract(s) for the position(s). Up to nine awards will be made, as there is one position available at each of our locations. Qualified providers can bid on one or multiple positions. The awarded contractor(s) will be expected to provide on-site speech therapy and language development services, as necessary, to residents at the OCFS locations. The speech services will be provided to students with disabilities as outlined in their Individual Education Programs (IEPs). The awarded contractor(s) may be required to perform initial evaluations during the contract term(s) to determine if speech services are needed for some students. The number of students requiring services can fluctuate throughout the year and this will affect the provider(s) caseload. Please refer to the IFB document located on the "Documents" tab for additional information and submission requirements.
