MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
Bidders must attend an information meeting on the specified date and time below:

Site visits begin promptly at the time, date and location specified above.

A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Bidders are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Bidders who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.

All questions and enquiries from the site visit must be submitted to the ITT Contact person prior to the date and time as per section 3.2 Timetable.

Representatives of your firm attending a site visit must provide and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

Brief Description of Work

The scope of work includes repairs to the overhead service supplying Electrical Room 3, the replacement of the main switch and tap box within Electrical Room 3, and the replacement of the existing fuse in Electrical Room 2. Upgrades to electrical systems within the residential units and the on-site office are also included under this Contract.

In-suite upgrades shall consist of the replacement of branch panels, aluminum wiring, and associated outlets. All branch circuit wiring shall be tested for neutral-to-ground continuity, and any deficiencies identified shall be corrected.

The Contractor shall restore all affected building components to their original condition or better. Such work may include, but is not limited to, roofing, siding, drywall, insulation, and firestopping.

The Contractor is advised that hazardous materials are present within the building. All work involving hazardous materials shall be carried out in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

It is recommended that subcontractors attend the secondary site meeting as there will be no further opportunity to visit the site.

Exclusion of United States Based Suppliers

Suppliers based in the United States are excluded from responding to this ITT. BC Housing reserves the right, at its discretion, to allow United States based suppliers to respond, in the event no reasonable alternatives are available.

The successful Bidder must cascade this requirement to subcontractors and suppliers engaged in the performance of the resulting contract. The successful Bidder shall be responsible for verifying and demonstrating compliance with this requirement and shall provide evidence of such compliance upon request by BC Housing.
