Intent to Sole Source to Johnson Controls Inc

Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source:

The MCIEast Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Johnson Controls Inc, (Cage Code: 32242) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements.

The MCAS Cherry Point, NC Facilities Directorate Department has a requirement to establish a contract to procure Metasys software and hardware support services for a period of one (1) base year and one (1) option year. The contractor is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required services. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis to Johnson Controls Inc.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
