WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT - PROJECT #2026-09

Sealed proposals for performing the work herein described will be received by the Village Board of Irvington, New York, at the Office of the Village Clerk, Village Hall, 85 Main Street, Irvington, New York 10533, until March 11, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Court Room in Village Hall at 85 Main Street, Irvington, NY.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to install 840 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main and abandon the existing water main located along Erie Street and Langdon Avenue. The work includes testing and all modifications in accordance with the plans and specifications or as directed by the Engineer. Contract Documents may be obtained at the above office of the Village Administrator or from the Village web at WWW.IRVINGTONNY.GOV on or after February 13, 2026. Bids shall be made on the Proposal Forms furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Village or a certified cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid.  Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Irvington, New York, and are to be held by the Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof.  In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Village of Irvington as liquidated damages.

Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Village of Irvington, The Village Hall, 85 Main Street, Irvington, New York and endorsed “Erie Street and Langdon Avenue Water Main Replacement - Project #2026-09”.

The Village of Irvington reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Village to do so.
