Sealed bids for construction of 4th Street to 6th Street Sewer Improvements will be received until Dec. 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the City Hall at 615 North Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Georgia 30830 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work shall include the following: Sanitary sewerage system rehabilitation including, but no limited to, replacing 15¿ PVC sewer mains with approximately 5,130 LF of 18¿ HDPE sewer mains using the pipe burst method. The project will consist of sewer lateral replacement, manhole rehabilitation, removing and replacing asphalt, removing and replacing curbing, traffic control, and grassing. Time allotted for completion of work is 150 calendar days. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are on file at Parker Engineering, LLC. Copies may be obtained from Parker Engineering, LLC., 36 Courtland Street, Suite B, Statesboro, Georgia 30458, Phone: (912) 764-7722, email: lindsey@parker-engineering.com, upon payment of $150.00 for each full-size set (non-refundable). The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as ¿utility contracting¿ in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a ¿Utility Contractor¿ and must also employ a ¿Utility Manager¿ certification holder who will have oversight of all the work. See Instruction to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier¿s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Funding is to be provided by Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) and Community Project Funding (CPF). These funds will be distributed and administered through the EPA. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities.
