Description

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) intends to award a sole source contract to Warren Communications News for the license of Communications Daily (CD). The subscription is the authoritative source for telecom regulation, legislation and policy development news and is provided by the FCC to all its employees. Without the subscription, the FCC staff would no longer be able to keep up with the changes in the industry and would not be able to perform their jobs effectively. CD contains copyrighted information that cannot be provided by any other vendors. The subscription is customized for the FCC as it allocates five journalists strictly to FCC coverage and two more to litigation topics. The period of performance for the proposed contract action is a base period (02/01/2025 – 01/31/2026) plus four (4) twelve-month option periods. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 - 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract action. It is published for informational purposes only and is NOT a request for proposal or quote. Any challenges to this requirement must be in writing and shall include sufficient information to enable the government’s needs as stated herein. No responses to this special notice are anticipated. Any questions or comments shall be addressed to Ms. Priscilla Cruz at priscilla.cruz@fcc.gov.
