UNR - Repair HTHW Line and Silver 2 Parking Area at Orvis Building

**NSHE recently migrated to a new payment system that requires all of our vendors register with the system in order for our Controllers office to allow us to pay you. This process only needs to be completed once. If your company is listed and shows the Supplier Status as anything other than “Accepted” then there are still steps that must be completed before your registration is approved.
**Once an ITB/RFP/RFQ/CMAR is released for bidding, bidders may begin working on their response and uploading required documents without submitting their bid early. The NGEM system allows for bidders to save their work. Please make use of this capability in order to give your company enough time to review your response and upload any other documents on the day the ITB/RFP/RFQ/CMAR closes so that you do not miss the cut-off time.
**Once the ITB/RFP/RFQ/CMAR closes and the responses are unsealed electronically, the list of bidders/responders will be immediately posted online and available to the public for viewing. This document can be accessed by clicking on Closed Bid Opportunities, selecting the specific opportunity, and scrolling down to Bid Documents. The Bid Tabulation document will be available for review there.

Description of Work: This is a prevailing wage project. Construction project to replace 150 linear feet of piping that provides HTHW to the Orvis Building and repair, repave and change the layout of the Silver 2 Parking Area between Mackay Science and Orvis Building.

Special Considerations:

Schedule of Values due at Intent of Award with breakdown of two separate project costs.

Fall Semester begins 8/25/2025. Coordinate with UNR construction project manager to maintain ADA access to Mackay Science and Orvis Building. Coordinate High Temp Hot Water shutdown with UNR HVAC shop and construction project manager.

High Temp Hot Water pipe welding per project specification required. Experience with Gilsulate insulation installation required. Provide examples of past work with Gilsulate.

Estimated Cost Range: $1,130,000 to $1,330,000

Liquidated Damages: $1,000/day

Completion of Work: Subject to change by Owner, Work is scheduled to begin on "May 26, 2025" and shall be fully complete by "August 22, 2025."
