Project Description: The construction of all components of the Salmon Creek Treatment Plant UV System Replacement.
Work includes disassembly and modification or demolition of an existing canopy at the UV facility, construction of a concrete channel (Channel 2) parallel to the existing UV disinfection channel (Channel 1), installation of a UV lamp system in Channel 2 while maintaining the existing UV system in service in Channel 1. Once UV Disinfection Channel 2 is fully commissioned, existing UV equipment in Channel 1 will be demolished, and a new UV lamp system will be installed while maintaining operation of Channel 2. Diving is required to accomplish the work. Installation of the modified canopy or provision of a new canopy over the facility as shown on the Drawings will follow. The two channels will be hydraulically connected through pipes upstream and downstream of the UV equipment.
The engineer's estimate for this project is $5.3M.
