Description

1. Scope

The contractor shall supply one NEW compact tractor for Lock and Dam 3 in Welch, MN. It is the responsibility of the offeror to arrange transport of the tractor, and the cost of transport is to be included in the quoted price of the tractor. NEW tractor attachments, if any noted on this scope, will be delivered to Lock and Dam 3 in Welch, MN. There is no trade-in equipment to be used with this procurement.

NEEDS DESCRIPTION

The tractor will have several uses to benefit the mission and required maintenance at Lock and Dam 3. Tractor will be used to maintain and remove debris (trees, deadheads) on the 2 mile long, natural embankment along the Mississippi River. Tractor will be used for flood fighting efforts to include moving sand to load sandbags. Increased occurrences of high water and chances of flooding has dramatically increased over the years, requiring the project site to fill thousands of sandbags ( 4 times in the last 7 years). Tractor will be used to maintain and mow, as needed, the one-mile-long roadway accessing the project site on Lock and Dam Road.
