Install OFCI Shade Structures at Running Springs and Taft Elementary Schools

NOTICE INVITING FORMAL BIDS
NOTICE, PLACE AND DUE DATE, PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Orange Unified School District,
"District", will receive electronically-sealed bids pursuant to Public Contract Code (PCC) section 1601
through the PlanetBids Portal https://pbsystem.planetbids.com/portal/15578/portal-home "Vendor Portal"
prior to 2:00 pm on September 22, 2026 "Due Date" for Bid No. 2627-983 Install OFCI Shade Structures
at Running Springs and Taft Elementary Schools. This project includes but is not limited to construction
and services required to install one 30'x42' PC approved metal shade structure at both Running Springs
Elementary School and Taft Elementary Schools.
DOCUMENTS AVAILABILITY: This public works prevailing wage rate Project (Labor Code 1720) is
further detailed in the Project documents, is available only through the Vendor Portal. The Project
documents will govern should there be any conflict with the notice.
LICENSES, DIR REGISTRATION, PREQUALIFICATIONS: Prime contractor must possess a valid
CSLB Class A "General Engineering" OR B "General Building" California State Contractor's
License (Cal. Code 1725.2).
The Contract Time is 60 days. CONTRACTOR should consult General Conditions, Supplementary
Conditions, Special Conditions, and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidated Damages.
MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE: All prospective contractors must be on time and attend the
entire pre-bid conference held at the following times and locations. Failure to attend the entire conference
or tardiness will render the bid ineligible.
* 8:30AM on September 10, 2026 at Running Springs Elementary School 8670 E
Running Springs Rd, Anaheim, CA 92808. Bidders shall meet in front of the
administration building.
* 9:15AM on September 10, 2026 at Taft Elementary School 340 Main St, Orange, CA
92868. Bidders shall meet in front of the administration building.
BASIS FOR AWARD: District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder based on the total Project award amount and who provides all the required bonds,
insurance, and documents as required in the Project documents. The Board reserves the right to reject any
and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received or in the bidding.
