The details contained in the following specifications are not designed to exclude any manufacturer from bidding but are offered as a means of describing the needs of the City of Charleston. The City currently owns Chevrolet manufactured transport vans within the Police Fleet with the below specified lighting equipment and wishes to maintain consistency for training and safety reasons. The vehicles have been purchased and require specialized equipment installation to convert them into fully functional prisoner transport units.
