Doral Central Park Aquatics Center Starting Block & Backstroke Flagpole Anchor Installation

The City of Doral is soliciting Bids for The City of Doral is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and incidental materials necessary to install owner-furnished starting block anchors and backstroke flagpole anchors at the Doral Aquatic Center. The work includes concrete coring, anchor installation, bonding to the existing equipotential bonding grid, deck restoration, testing, and all work necessary to provide a complete, operational, and code-compliant installation.

The City of Doral is seeking qualified contractors to provide all labor, equipment, supervision, and incidental materials necessary to install owner-furnished starting block anchors and backstroke flagpole anchors at the Doral Aquatic Center. The project includes concrete coring, installation of twenty-one (21) starting block anchors and two (2) backstroke flagpole anchors, bonding of all anchors to the existing pool equipotential bonding grid in accordance with NEC 680, deck restoration, testing, and all work required to deliver a complete, safe, and code-compliant installation.

The City is looking for experienced contractors with demonstrated expertise in commercial aquatic facility construction or renovation, particularly the installation of competitive swimming equipment and pool bonding systems. The successful contractor shall perform the work in accordance with the manufacturer's installation requirements, applicable codes, and industry best practices while minimizing disruption to Aquatic Center operations. The City encourages qualified firms with experience in similar aquatic projects to submit a competitive proposal.

The Doral Aquatic Center is a premier competitive and recreational aquatic facility that hosts year-round swim programs, team practices, competitions, instructional programming, and community events. As part of the City's ongoing commitment to maintaining a high-quality aquatic venue, the City is upgrading the pool deck by installing permanent starting block anchors and backstroke flagpole anchors to support competitive swim activities in our MYRTHA pool ( we already have anchors on one side , we want to mirror the same anchors on the other side). The City has already procured the required anchor assemblies. This solicitation is for the professional installation of the owner-furnished equipment, including concrete coring, deck restoration, and integration into the existing pool equipotential bonding system in accordance with NEC Article 680 and all applicable codes. The work must be performed with minimal disruption to Aquatic Center operations while maintaining the integrity of the existing pool deck and infrastructure. The City is seeking experienced contractors with demonstrated expertise in commercial aquatic facilities and competitive swimming equipment installations. Firms with experience working on public pools, aquatic centers, or similar competition venues are encouraged to submit proposals. High-quality workmanship, adherence to applicable codes, and successful completion of similar projects will be key factors in the City's evaluation of proposals.
