Purpose of this Advance Proposed Procurement Notice

This is an advance notice for the procurement of a Contractor to complete culvert replacements at two sites on Highway 47 between Buchanan and Preeceville, Saskatchewan, and a culvert repair on Highway 5 near Kuroki. Please note that all quantities and project details are subject to change. This tender will have a shortened advertising period and will have an early completion date. The work is expected to take place as early as September 2026, with a specified completion date as early as October 31, 2026. The Ministry reserves the right to not proceed with advertising this work.

Description of the Procurement:

INSTALLATION OF ONE 800 mm DIAMETER POLYMER LAMINATED CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE and THREE 1 400 mm DIAMETER POLYMER LAMINATED CORRUGATED STEEL PIPES and REPAIR OF CULVERT BACKFILL at various locations on Highway No. 5 and Highway No. 47; for a TOTAL LENGTH OF 64 m.

o    1 – 800 mm x 16 m length Polymer Laminated Corrugated Steel Pipe
o    68 mm x 13 mm corrugations
o    2.0 mm wall thickness
•    Proposed Culverts CS 47-10 km 33.25 – Ministry supplied
o    3 – 1400 mm x 16 m length Polymer Laminated Corrugated Steel Pipes
o    125 mm x 25 mm corrugations
o    2.0 mm wall thickness
•    Removal and Disposal of Culverts – 41m
•    Granular Base Course – 505 t
•    Asphalt Concrete – 265 t
•    Random Riprap Type II – 140 m3
•    Supply and Install Silt Fence – 145 m
•    Supply and Install Erosion Control Blanket – 805 m2
•    Seeding – 805 m2
•    Granular Backfill in Place – 560 m3

The contractor will be responsible for supplying borrow material, granular backfill, geotextiles, riprap, sub-base course, granular base course, asphalt concrete, and erosion control materials to replace the culvert. The Ministry will begin procurement for culverts ahead of tendering to expedite construction.
