Fine Option/Community Service Order/Youth Victim Restitution: Redesign Location - Saskatchewan
Synopsis:
This Call for Proposal (CFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) through the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General (JAG), Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) branch and the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety (CPPS) to organizations to submit proposals outlining their ability to deliver Fine Option/Community Service Order/Youth Victim Restitution: Redesign (FOP/CSO/YVR: Redesign) in Saskatchewan.
The Fine Option Program (FOP) allows people the opportunity to settle fines by completing unpaid, supervised community service work, rather than paying in cash, as authorized by The Summary Offences Procedure Act, 1990 and regulated by The Fine Option Program Regulations, 1991.
The Community Service Order Program (CSO) allows offenders to be accountable to their communities by completing community service work at community-based organizations. CSOs involve completing a specific number of hours ordered by the court or through an extrajudicial sanctions agreement.
The Youth Victim Restitution Program (YVR) provides young offenders the opportunity to complete unpaid, supervised community service work with the goal of compensating victims. Restitution is repaid to victims based on the hours of community service work completed.
Under a redesigned centralized service model, these programs will be delivered together by the successful Proponent(s) across Saskatchewan. FOP/CSO/YVR: Redesign is further described in Appendix A: CFP Particulars.
