Shelving in Vault – Town Clerk’s Office

The Town of Warren is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of Shelving in Vault – Town Clerk’s Office.
Specifications are available on the town website www.townofwarren-ri.gov or in the Warren Town Clerk's Office between, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm, Tuesday 8:00am-6:00pm and – Friday 8:00am-12:00pm, 514 Main Street, Warren, RI 02885.
Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Town Clerk’s Office Shelving”, to the Town Clerk’s Office on or before Thursday, 10:00 am, August 6, at which time the bids will be opened publicly. Fax bids will not be accepted.
The Town of Warren reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality
and accepts the proposal deemed in the best interest of the Town.
Persons requesting interpreter services for the hearing-impaired must notify the Town Clerk’s Office at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to bid opening (401-245-7340)

Company Qualifications
Must have (3) years’ experience in historical document shelving and provide references upon
request.
Installation crew must be from same company to ensure quality and safety
Installation technicians must have O.S.H.A. Min. 10-hour certification
Vendor must be familiar with shelving areas and material to be stored.
Shelving System Specifications
Shelving material 18 Gauge
Shelving open spacing height adjustable with-out tools
Flexible Shelving Design to allow for roller style and flat shelving interchangeability
Flexible Shelving Design to allow for height adjustments with-out tooling
Flexible Shelving must have lockable areas where needed
Shelving units must have closed base
Shelving units must use all closed uprights
Shelving paint must be Gloss-Tek paint for historical document storage
Shelving System Color: Cranberry Red
Shelving (1) A unit @ 36” Long x 15” Deep x 121” High (9 roller openings & 6 openings)
Shelving (1) B unit @ 36” Long x 15” Deep x 121” High (10 openings)
Shelving (2) C units @ 36” Long x 15” Deep x 121” High (2 drawers & 8 openings)
Installation of shelving
Freight and local delivery must be included
All shelving equipment must be received and inspected by vendor at their site before local
delivery to Town Clerk location
All units secured to wall and/or floor
Warranty: minimum of 5 years on components and 1 year on labor
The Town of Warren reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality
and accepts the Proposal deemed in the best interest of the Town.
