W. Western Avenue Rehabilitation
Shoreline Drive to the West End
1. RECEIPT OF BIDS
The City of Muskegon, the Owner, will receive sealed Bids for construction for the W. Western Avenue Rehabilitation project at the office of the City Clerk at 933 Terrace Street, Muskegon, MI 49440, until Thursday, April 16, 2026, 2p.m., local time. No Bids will be received after that time. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time and place.
2. SCOPE OF PROJECT
The approximate quantities of the major items of Work are:
• 1,000 Feet of 8 inch and 12 inch D.I. Water Main
• 820 Feet of 12 inch Storm Sewer
• 6,500 Feet of Concrete Curb and Gutter
• 26,500 SFT of Concrete Sidewalk
• 2,700 Tons of HMA Pavement
3. FINANCING
The Project will be paid for with local funds provided by the City of Muskegon and the Contract Documents reflect
requirements by that agency.
4. ISSUING OFFICE
Bidding Documents are being issued from Land and Resource Engineering’s (LRE) Walker office. Bidders should direct questions and correspondence to that office.
5. EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS

6. OBTAIN BIDDING DOCUMENTS

Obtaining Bidding Documents from any source not identified herein may result in failure to receive addenda, corrections, or other revisions that may be issued.
7. BID SECURITY
Bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders must be
submitted with each Bid.
8. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS
Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the actual date of opening thereof. This time period may be extended by mutual agreement of the Owner and any Bidder or Bidders.
9. RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS
The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all Bids.
10. PREBID CONFERENCE
A prebid conference will not be held.
