INTRODUCTION
The City is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the furnishing and delivery of one (1) new 1-
Ton pickup truck for municipal use. The vehicle shall be new, current production, and fully compliant
with all applicable federal and state regulations.
SCOPE OF WORK
The successful proposer shall provide a complete, turnkey unit including chassis, body, powertrain,
electrical systems, lighting, controls, and all necessary accessories. The unit shall be fully assembled,
inspected, and ready for municipal service upon delivery.

Paint
• Red in color
o To closely match existing fleet
Chassis Configuration
• 1-Ton pickup truck
• Single rear wheel configuration
• GVWR appropriate for municipal payload requirements
• 4x4 four-wheel drive system
• Extended cab configuration
• Standard short pickup bed
Engine and Powertrain
• Gasoline (unleaded)
• Automatic transmission suitable for heavy-duty service
• Shift-on-the-fly 4WD transfer case
• Heavy-duty cooling system
• Trailer tow package
• Integrated trailer brake controller

• Front axle rated for plow and accessory loads
• Rear axle rated for maximum payload capacity

• Provision for installation of warning/strobe lighting
• In-cab diagnostic interface
• Hide-away LED amber strobes in all four corners
o Must remain unobstructed with plow attached
• Cab mounted clearance lights

• 40/30/40 bench seat (vinyl, heavy-duty grade)
• HVAC system suitable for year-round use

• AM/FM radio with Bluetooth capability
• Instrumentation package including engine, transmission, and emissions monitoring
• Rubber/vinyl flooring preferred for municipal use

Warranty
Proposer shall provide:
• Manufacturer’s extended warranty for chassis and powertrain
Delivery
• Unit shall be delivered fully assembled, inspected, and ready for service
• Delivery timeline shall be clearly stated in proposal
Proposal Submission Requirements
Proposals shall include:
• Detailed specifications of proposed unit
• Itemized pricing
• Estimated delivery schedule
• Warranty documentation
Trade in Allowance
• There will be no equipment being traded toward the purchase of the new equipment. The
existing equipment will be sold on an auction site after delivery of new equipment.
Timelines
• Proposal due date is Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 @ 10:00 AM, at the Office of the City
Manager, 58 Opera House Square, Claremont, NH 03743. Please mark “RFP – DPW – Sewer
Pickup Truck” on the outside of the sealed envelope. Persons submitting proposals should
note on the bid sheet any deviations from the specifications.
• Bid opening date will be Friday, April 3rd, 2026 @ 10:00 AM, located in City Council
Chambers, 58 Opera House Square, Claremont, NH 03743.
Persons submitting should also note any options that in their opinion would be mission critical for
its use in a municipal public works department. Any recommended options should be priced
separately.
The City of Claremont reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal
to be in the City’s best interest.
