Ceylon Rink Roof Replacement & Structural Reinforcement

The Village of Ceylon is seeking qualified contractors to complete the full replacement of the Ceylon Rink roof and structural reinforcement of compromised load-bearing components. Work includes removal and disposal of all existing roofing materials, installation of a new metal roof system with flashing, drip edges, ridge components, ice/water shielding, and full weatherproofing of penetrations. Contractors must assess trusses and beams, reinforce or replace weakened members, and provide stamped engineering documentation.

Site preparation includes equipment staging, safety fencing, walkway protection, debris removal, and full cleanup. Contractors must identify any hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead paint, or mold during inspection and include mitigation plans.

The project runs approximately August 20 to November 1, 2026 but is flexible, with consideration for fall weather constraints. Contractors are responsible for obtaining all required building permits, engineering approvals, and utility disconnection permits, and must comply with the National Building Code of Canada, Saskatchewan Fire Code, and Village bylaws.
