NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Southaven, Mississippi will

receive written sealed bids until the hour of 10 o’clock a.m. local time, on February 18th, 2026 at the office

of the City Clerk of the City of Southaven, at the following address:

Southaven City Hall

8710 Northwest Drive

Southaven, Mississippi 38671

Received Bids will then be publicly read aloud in the City’s Board Room at 10:15 a.m. local time. Bids are for

the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of that certain project

designated as “Snowden Grove Fence Replacement” Project Documents are on file and can be viewed at the

office of the City Clerk.

Bids are requested for the removal and replacement of the existing fencing along the project limits. The work

includes the demolition and disposal of the existing fence, installation of a new fence system of the specified

style, including posts, rails, gates, wire mesh backing, and all associated hardware. The project will also include

necessary clearing and grading along the fence line, concrete footings, alignment and tensioning, and

restoration of disturbed areas.

The total Contract Time will be 180 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $500.00 per

consecutive calendar day thereafter.

Clerk’s office, with payment of $200 reproduction costs for each set, none of which is refundable.

The City of Southaven reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any information and

irregularities therein, solicit new bids, award the bid to the lowest and best bidder.

Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime

contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting

opportunities and equipment, material, and/or supply needs.
