SPECIFICATIONS and PRICING
REQUIREMENTS for Superpave Hot Mix Asphalt:

The City shall be responsible to pick up at the contractor’s plant location. The City shall pick up loads ranging from 1 – 15 ton, most loads will be 7 or 15 ton. The City shall make every effort to give a 24hr notice. In emergency/rush situations, the City may not be able to provide 24hr notice.

Contractor will be responsible to load City trucks at the plant location and provide the driver with a scale ticket after each load. The scale ticket must include:

Date of pick up
•
Net tonnage
•
Commodity description.

All Superpave Hot Mix Asphalt shall meet 2020 ISPWC section 810 standards. The minimum acceptable binder grade shall be 58-34. Maximum acceptable RAP content shall be 30%.

All prices must be firm against any increase for one (1) year from effective date of the Contract.

The City shall reserve the right to purchase material from an alternate Contractor(s), under contract, for the following circumstances:

Wait time exceeds one (1) hour
•
If Contractor cannot provide the specified quality and quantity of material needed
•
If the haul distance is too long to support paving or patching operation
