The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS)/Division of Administrative Services
(AS) is seeking a contract worker to serve as fulltime time-limited Statewide Property Auditor for
the agency. The term of this contract will be for one (1) year with options to renew for additional
year(s). The salary for this position is $59,500.00 annually. The selected candidate will be
responsible for conducting property inventory audits across multiple MDHS County Offices.
Regular daily travel is expected, with occasional overnight trips as needed.
Job Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:
• Traveling throughout the region, performing physical audits of agency-owned property
assets;
• Record and maintain an inventory of all MDHS-issued property;
• Review and assist with collecting documentation related to MDHS property;
• Preparing detailed post-audit reports;
• Assist with Property dispositions and disposals;
• Providing guidance to county property custodians on property management procedures
and required documentation;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
• A positive, professional attitude.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities;
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;

• Experience working in MAGIC, highly preferred.
Special Qualifications:
• Experience with MAGIC and State Procurement

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
Other:
MDHS will provide the contractors with space at the MDHS State Office as deemed necessary.
