Description:

Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)

Binghamton University intends to procure 165 Automatic External Defibrillators (AED).

  • The device must be an automatic, portable, battery-operated unit.
  • The device shall include everything needed to treat people experiencing sudden loss of heart function (sudden cardiac arrest).

Certifications / Approvals

  • The device must be approved by the FDA through the premarket approval PMA as outlined in the FDA final order publication, as listed on the FDA-Approved AED table.

AED Battery:

  • Fully integrated battery designed to not require replacement during the AED’s usable life.
  • A battery capable of being recharged via USB type-C.

Fleet Management/Settings/Data/Connectivity:

  • Supports the automatic upload of post-event clinical data to the cloud via cellular network.
  • Supports rapid access to post-event data via a scannable QR code on the device screen.
  • Supports daily reporting on AED fleet readiness to the cloud via cellular network, including device location, battery status, PAD status, and daily self-testing.
  • Supports the ability to update AED software via cellular.
  • Supports the ability to update AED software via Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Supports multiple levels of redundant connectivity, including Wi-Fi, cellular, and geolocation.
  • Supports the ability to connect to nearby Wi-Fi networks via the display screen.

Emergency Functionality & Instructions:

  • Audibly instructs the rescuer to remove the bra of a female victim.
  • Displays rescue graphics of a female victim.

General Features & Specifications:

  • Total device weight of less than 2.2lbs.
  • Total device dimensions of less than 6 in x 7 in x 3 in
  • Adult / Pediatric combo pads
  • Embedded Spanish Mode

SUNY intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law 355 (5) {a}, which is up to $125,000, for the above noted commodity / product or service.
