Synopsis:
|
|
This RFB is an invitation by GOS to perspective Proponents to provide Submissions for the supply and delivery of Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors for the Ministry of Social Services.
|
|
Additional Information:
|
|
At a minimum, the device requirements will include:
A non-replaceable 10-year lithium sealed battery;
An Underwriters Laboratories of Canada/Canadian Standards Association (ULC/CSA) certification;
A dual sensor that uses both ionization and photoelectric sensors for smoke detection;
Electrochemical sensors for CO detection;
Tamper resistant;
Self testing components that check functionality of alarm;
The ability to silence alarm for non-fire/smoke emergency, for example: cooking smoke;
Ability to operate and function in temperatures from 4.4 degrees Celsius to 37.8 degrees Celsius;
An alert when the detector is at the end of its lifespan and requires a replacement; and
Capability to attach to the wall or roof of the home. Combination smoke and CO detector should not need to be hardwired.
