Invitation for Bid P2495023 Southern California Helicopter Rental
The purpose of this rental agreement is for the Contractor to provide CDFW with the use of a helicopter on an as-needed basis. The CDFW currently owns and operates one helicopter based in Tehama County, California. Due to the growing need, the department requires a contract to provide helicopter rental services in Ventura County, the location of the Southern California base of the Air Operations unit. CDFW Warden Pilots will operate the helicopters for law enforcement and biological and conservation survey work throughout the State of California. Law enforcement operations include investigations, air support during high-risk operations, transport of CDFW Game Wardens into remote areas, and search and rescue operations. Helicopters will also be used to support various biological surveys, scientific research, and conservation efforts throughout Southern California. The helicopter(s) are expected to be rented for a minimum of one hundred and fifty (150) hours per year.
