The North Charleston Sewer District is accepting Bids from qualified licensed Contractors to remove and replace the sewer lines in Dorchester Terrace. Sewer realignment will be required as indicated on the plans. All service connections will be reinstated. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at NCSD 7225 Stall Road, North Charleston, SC 29406 on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM. This will be immediately followed by a site visit to the project site. Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, October 1, 2026, at the office of North Charleston Sewer District at 7225 Stall Road in North Charleston and publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter. Addendum No. 1 is hereby incorporated and made part of the Bid Documents
Except as specifically modified by this document, all other terms and conditions remain in full
force and effect.
SUBMITTED COMMENTS/ QUESTIONS
1. Question 1: Is there an Engineer's estimate for this project?
Answer: An Engineer's estimate will not be provided for this project.
2. Question 2: Is there a location provided for excess spoils, or is the contractor to haul off and dispose of
them?
Answer: Disposal of excess spoils are the responsibility of the contractor. This is to include, but not
limited to, the excavatable flowable currently in the Accabee Rd. roadway.
3. Question 3: When is the project expected to start or when do you anticipate issuing a Notice to
Proceed?
Answer: Notice to Proceed can be issued as soon as possible. Funds for the project are currently
available.
4. For paving of roadways, driveways, and parking lots, refer to applicable detail in bid documents on
pages C-901 and C-902. Estimated width of trench for roadway cuts is 8-feet. City of North Charleston
requires a 5-foot overlay.
5. In addition to 7225 Stall Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406, locations for current materials procured by
NCSD can be found in the attachment.
6. Pre-Bid Sign-In Sheet from 9/10/2026 is attached
The Bid due date and time is NOT changed. It remains October 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM. This Addendum No.
1 must be acknowledged in the submission documents.
