|
The City of Framingham (“CITY”) invites sealed proposals to retain the services of a professional contractor specializing in the testing of backflow prevention devices within the Water Division service area. There are currently approximately 2,727 existing backflow devices which are approximately 2,153 are reduced pressure devices and approximately 574 double check devices. Reduced pressure devices shall be tested (twice a year) and double checks shall be tested (once a year) in accordance with the Department of Environmental Protection Drinking Water regulations of Massachusetts, 310 CMR 22.22 and City regulations. The contractor will help the Water Department complete the tests remaining for calendar year 2025 and then complete a full testing year in calendar year 2026.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any minor informalities & technicalities, or to cancel the bid if it were in the public interest to do so.
