The intention of this RFI is to better understand industry capabilities and identify potential vendors to develop a bridge and engine room mounted Energy Usage Monitor (“the system”) for research ships. The system will provide bridge personnel with real time vessel energy usage information to include, but not be limited to the vessel’s speed, electrical energy usage, fuel consumption, shaft speed.
