Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of resurfacing improvements, including emergency culvert repair on West Smith Avenue located in the City of Nashville, Georgia until 2:00pm (local time) Monday, March 3, 2025), at which time bids will be opened and read. This project shall be financed with Transportation Investment Act (TIA) funding.
The meeting will be held at the City of Nashville City Hall and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Mr. Hayden Hancock, City Manager for the City of Nashville, P. O. Box 495, Nashville, Georgia 31639 or delivered to 405 W. Washington, Nashville, Georgia 31639. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The City of Nashville may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.
The Scope of Work Includes:
West Smith Avenue Resurfacing (Including Emergency Culvert Repair). Total of 0.18 Miles.
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Nashville in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Nashville. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.
The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Nashville as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.
All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed.
