Iowa DOT is seeking a contractor to remove and repair or replace damaged guardrail on IA 3 East Bound near the 284.4-mile marker. Roughly 70' of damaged guardrail and components
This project is exempt from state sales tax.
Insurance listing the Iowa DOT as additional insured will be required prior to the project starting.

Questions
Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Jerrod Okland. Any and all questions related to this project are to be submitted to Jerrod Okland in writing preferably through the ION wave Bid system. (See the cut off period for question submissions).

Site Visit:
Site visits are required to determine parts needed. Interested bidders can schedule a site visit with the Purchasing Agent listed on the solicitation via email at Jerrod.Okland @iowadot.us
DOT will coordinate with staff and send you confirmation once the site visit has been scheduled.

Contractors will be required to bring their own equipment needed for the site visit.
Completion date of work by February 28, 2025.
Contract Award
One contract will be awarded for all lines. All lines are tied.
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule . Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity.
