Description: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP No. PW-S3C067-11M The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for construction management and inspection services in connection with the following:
Construction Management Services
The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for the Nassau County Department of Public Work’s Construction Management Unit: Cedar Creek WPCP Influent Pumping System Improvements. Services may include providing one Resident Engineer, one Office Engineer, and two Construction Inspectors as needed for managing all construction related activities, contractor claims, and construction related engineering services. The firm selected to provide these services will be awarded a 54-month agreement with the County. Sealed Proposals regarding this project are due on or before 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted. Please note that this is not the Request for Proposals. Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The proposer shall be required to comply with a good faith effort M/WBE goal and good faith effort minimum of 6% SDVOB goal for this project and with the requirements of Local Laws No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP), which outlines the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposer's plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN – In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No. 14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal. All questions regarding this RFP should be submitted by email, prior to the close of business on Friday, August 29, 2025, to Karen Fay, P.E. at Kfay@nassaucountyny.gov. A site walkthrough for interested firms will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Cedar Creek WPCP, Building A Lobby, 3340 Merrick Road, Wantagh, NY 11793.
