RE:
ADDENDUM #5 - BID NO. 20260346 – RESTROOM RENOVATIONS AT VARIOUS PARKS
BID OPENING DATE: 2:00 p.m. (EST) APRIL 8, 2026
Bidders are hereby notified that this Addendum shall be made a part of the documents. The intent is to add to, modify, or
clarify the documents. Should any of these items have an effect on price, such changes shall be included in the price bid.
These items have the same force and effect as if contained in the original.
ITEM 1:
QUESTION/ANSWER
Q1. The bid specifications call for the following door assemblies:
• Therma-Tru Fiber-Classic
• Therma-Tru Smooth-Star
• Nominal 6'8" Impact Opaque
• Composite Edge Fiberglass Single Door (Inswing/Outswing)
• FL#: FL20468.1
a) Can you please clarify the exact exterior door and frame the County intends to have installed, since the
documents reference two specific Therma-Tru series?
b) Additionally, please confirm whether the County is requiring impact-rated exterior doors for this project. If
impact rating is not mandatory, would the County consider hollow metal as an acceptable alternative?
c) One more point of clarification: the specifications call for an opaque door. Can you confirm that the County
intends for the restroom doors to be fully opaque, with no vision lite or glazing?
A1. a) The exterior door and frame to be installed is the Therma-Tru Smooth Star.
b) The door specified is impact resistant per the FL Product Approval.
c) The doors are intended to be fully opaque.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260346.
Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
