Content Management System

Suffolk County Community College (College) invites proposals (Proposal(s)) from qualified companies (Company) to provide a content management system and/or a platform as a service (CMS/PAAS) to publish an internet website for public consumption.

The public internet website’s purpose will be to:

1. Increase awareness of current and future College programs to drive higher enrollment rates
2. Project a positive image of the institution
3. Convey who we are in an elegant and efficient manner
4. Showcase content in synergy with an editorial calendar
5. Allow for integrations with ancillary applications
6. Allow for intuitive editing and publishing iterations for non-technical end-users
7. Allow for future-proof and future-friendly content management and website development

Companies may propose on-premises or hosted solutions that utilize either open source or proprietary software. Proposals must include training and options for support which is to include assistance in the development of page templates and plug-ins, and in the conversion of existing webpages into the new system. The College will choose the best overall solution in accordance with the criteria set forth in the RFP.
