THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT TO BE USED FOR MARKET ANALYSIS ONLY. NO AWARDS WILL BE MADE FROM THE RESPONSES TO THIS SYNOPSIS. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED CONCERNS DOING WORK UNDER NAICS 237990. ANY POTENTIAL COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION(S) THAT MAY PROCEED FROM THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS. ALL INTERESTED OFFERORS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RESPOND TO A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT AT A LATER TIME IF AND WHEN A SOLICITATION IS ISSUED.



The proposed project is for the Navigation Improvement channel (CAP Section 107), dredging and placement of material on beach nearby and reef placement for hard material with boulders and gravel etc., in the existing Federal channel in Lake Montauk Harbor.



1. Description of project: is to provide Navigation Improvement, for deepening the existing Federal channel from the existing authorized depth of -12 feet MLLW to a depth of -17 feet MLLW and the creation of a deposition basin 100 feet wide immediately east of the channel. Placement of dredged material will take place on the shoreline west of the inlet over the first 2.400 feet. Estimated volume is estimated 100,000 CY of sand and 15,000 CY of hard material and cost is estimated below 10 million. Window for dredging is only from October 1 thru December 31, 2025(3 month) not including mob/demob.

The Project area is located in East Hampton, Suffolk County, NY, to include Lake Montauk Harbor.



2. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make an appropriate procurement decision. All firms (large or small business) should respond to the project if they are interested in performing it.



3. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Dredging/ (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction). The Small Business Size standard is $37,000,000.

6. What is the largest channel dredging contract (in cubic yards) on which you were the prime contractor?



7. Have you worked on any projects New York/Long Island, New York? How have you dealt with the limitations to transportation and vehicular access?



8. Have you performed dredging with beach placement contracts on the Atlantic Coast of the United States? If so, please provide a list and description of at least 3 contracts of similar size, magnitude, and complexity. Description shall include size, cost, technical qualifications of staff, any customer feedback received, and a narrative of any complexities encountered.

The Contractor will conform to all local, state, and federal laws while carrying out the construction process for this project. This includes paying all fees and obtaining all permits required for the work.
