Description
The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) Reclamation has a need for a turbine and pump overhaul for Chandler Dam, WA. The contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to overhaul a James Leffel & Co, turbine, and a Worthington Hydrocone pump. The overhaul will consist of repair work to the pump and modification of a turbine shaft sleave replacement, installation of turbine runner (new, provided by the government) to turbine shaft, fabrication of wearing rings and pump impeller repair. Additionally, there may be a need to refurbish the guide and thrust bearing. The contractor shall be responsible for all tools, equipment, labor, and materials for the pickup, delivery, rebuild, machining, balancing, and testing of the turbine and pump components as specified in the performance work statement. The Chandler Reclamation crew will be responsible for the tear down and assembly of the pump and turbine.
This acquisition is 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. We anticipate issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) by 08/20/2025, but all dates in this notice are subject to change. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site.
Reclamation intends to award one firm firm-fixed-price contract. The anticipated date to issue the Request for Quote, 140R1725Q0084, (written) is approximately the third week of August, 2025. The anticipated closing date is the September 5, 2025. The anticipated award date is the third week of September. Prospective vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting a quote for this solicitation.
This requirement will be purchased in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, simplified acquisition procedures apply. The Government will evaluate quotes based on factors listed in the solicitation.
