The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to conduct a limited competition. The companies are Central Metal Fabricators Inc. (Cage: 1NZUE); V.E.P. Manufacturing Inc. (Cage: 5C905), and NAWCADLKE (Cage: 80020) as the approved critical application items (CAI) sources for the procurement of 13 Stabilized Optics Tables, P/N: 3429AS0600-2. The resultant contract will be Firm-Fixed Priced in support of the Prototype, Manufacturing, and Test Division (PMTD).
Central Metal Fabricators Inc., V.E.P. Manufacturing Inc., and NAWCADLKE are the only distributors capable of meeting the requirements as the approved critical application items (CAI) sources.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
