The Centers for Disease Control's Office of Advanced Molecular Detection manages the agency's High Performance Computing Center of Excellence, which includes extensive computing, network and storage resources to support CDC's scientific and
public health mission. These high-performance computing resources are used by the majority of CDC's infectious disease programs for pathogen surveillance, outbreak investigations and applied public health research.
