Synopsis:

|
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to invite Proponents to prepare and submit competitive Proposals to work with ASUPCA to develop and publish an online Guide to Planning, Developing and Maintaining Accessible Natural Recreational Green Space in Saskatchewan including a summary checklist. The successful Proponent will conduct independent research and gather information from ASUPCA’s member agencies, including Wakamow, that will provide information about practical and applied expertise in this area. The Proponent will use this information to compile general guidelines that address development, conservation, accessibility and safety priorities for natural spaces to support recreational capacity.

The Association of Saskatchewan Urban Parks and Conservation Agencies (ASUPCA) is a non-profit and voluntary organization dedicated to sustaining the betterment of Saskatchewan's seven conservation and urban parks situated on Treaty Four and Six Territories.
ASUPCA’s vision inspires member organizations to work collectively towards achieving and creating outcomes that carry forth a passion for urban parks and conservation areas through building relationships and support for one another.

The objectives of this RFP:
To use the experience of the member agencies to develop a visually pleasing online guide and summary checklist of best practices for natural spaces addressing areas such as:
Invasive Species Removal
Natural Area Reclamation/Remediation/Restoration
Pedestrian Bridges
Pest & Disease Control
Playground design
Shoreline Reclamation/Remediation/Restoration
Trail Building
