Statement of Need and Purpose: The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase the custom made Calb1-2A-Flp knock-in mice in support of research into Parkinson’s disease within the Laboratory of Neurogenetics (LNG).
Background Information and Objective:
The National Institute on Aging, Laboratory of Neurogenetics (LNG), required knock mice to understand the pathological basis of neurodegenerative diseases, primarily ALS, Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease. The mice will be used to crossbreed with other mouse lines to investigate the connectivity and function of distinct neuronal subtypes implicated in Parkinson's disease and related disorders. These capabilities are essential to support research into Parkinson's disease within the LNG.
Salient characteristics and deliverables
All deliverables required under this contract shall be packaged, marked and shipped in accordance with Government specifications. At a minimum, all deliverables shall be marked with the contract number and provider name. The provider shall guarantee that all required materials shall be delivered in immediate usable and acceptable condition. Final deliverables:
