Description
STATEMENT OF WORK
LOADING DOCK SECRUITY GATE REPAIR JACKSON REGIONAL BUSINESS OFFICE
OBJECTIVE
The Jackson Regional Office of the Veterans Benefits Administration has a requirement for the repair of the loading dock Security Gate located at the rear of the building.
SITE VISIT
Contractors shall visit the site to confirm location, dimensions, and conditions of the existing Security Gate. The site visit shall be for observing firsthand any conditions relevant to the fulfillment of this contract. The site address is:

BACKGROUND
The Jackson Veterans Administration Regional Office (VARO) experienced a malfunction in the operation of the Loading Dock Security Gate system. The loss of this system severely hampers the transfer of cargo and items from the delivery transport and leaves the loading dock area unsecured and vulnerable to security risk at the Regional Office.
A&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required.
SCOPE OF WORK:
This scope of work is for the repair of the Jackson VA Regional Office loading dock Security Gate system and is intended to cover all services required by the Regional Office.
The contractor shall,
Acquire new parts and replace malfunctioning part, for the repair of loading dock
Security Gate system.
Acquire and install new motor, malfunctioning part, for the repair of Security
Gate system.
Perform all fabrication, acquisition of parts or material, necessary to change out/ replace old parts.
Replace Dock Grille and Guides
Includes reinstalling existing ceiling tiles.
Rehang/repair existing gate.
Test repaired Security Gate system to ensure unit is functioning as designed.
Remove all debris damaged or malfunctioned parts from Regional Office campus.
Airphone and voice command and a Fire Box and provide all manufacture warranties and catalogs.
Period of Performance: 90 days after receipt of order

The contractor shall comply with the following references during the entirety of the contract:
1) VA Handbook 6500.6 Contract Security
INVOICING/ PAYMENT:
Billing and Invoicing: (a) A proper invoice is defined as one that identifies the contractor s name, phone number, contact information, invoice date, and itemized amount of billable work performed. Invoices shall be submitted to:

Specific contract line-item number (CLIN) Description of services, quantity, unit price, and total price per the contract Price/Cost Schedule.
Payment shall be certified by the Contract Officer Representative (COR). The contractor shall be responsible for completing all required reports pertaining to services.
Contracting Officer s Representative (COR)
The Chief, Support Services Division, or designee shall be the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) for the VA Regional Office. The contractor shall coordinate all work performed with the COR.
DUTY HOURS
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. local time, excluding Federal holidays. The contractor s on-site supervisor(s) and ground crew(s) will perform services between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. local time. The VA reserves the right to request changes in work schedules to meet the needs of the Government.
Damages:
The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages to property or injuries to persons as a result of their fault or negligence. The Contracting Officer shall validate and negotiate any claims with the Contractor.
