Description: Housing Visions Construction Co (HVCC) is currently soliciting bids from all subcontractors and vendors for the construction of Kirkwood Homes in Syracuse, NY The Kirkwood Homes project will consist of 3 two-unit new construction buildings. In total, this development will add six (6) units of quality affordable housing to the Syracuse area. All bidders are strongly encouraged to participate in the bid process and ALL bid proposals will be considered. Individual subcontractors who are not MWBE/SDVOB companies, or who may or may not use MWBE/SDVOB secondary subcontractors are still strongly encouraged to submit bids. Responsibilities of chosen subcontractors include:
The Kirkwood Homes Project funding agencies and Housing Visions Construction Co., Inc. require a targeted goal of 20% Minority Business Enterprise Participation, 10% Women's Business Enterprise Participation (of Grant Construction Costs), a 6% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Participation (of Grant Construction Costs) and 10% Section 3 Business Enterprise Participation. Project goals will be achieved through Housing Visions Construction employing a team of both non-MWBE/SDVOB and MWBE/SDVOB subcontractors and vendors. This is a HUD Section 3 Project with contracting priorities for businesses that are hired or owned by low-income persons. HVCC is committed to conducting an outreach campaign to appropriately meet these goals.
