This is an invitation to submit a bid to the Glynn County Board of Commissioners for the Driftwood Drive Beach Access Pier Project . The successful bidder shall provide and furnish all construction, labor, skill, equipment and materials to perform all operations in connection with the demolition of the existing structure and the construction of the new beach access pier as shown and indicated in the construction plans and drawings attached herein and maintain strict adherence to the environmental permit requirements
The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to construct the Driftwood Drive Boardwalk and associated beach access improvements in accordance with the Contract Documents, including the construction plans, details, notes, and applicable permits.
The project shall be constructed as a lump sum, all-inclusive contract in strict accordance with the plans and specifications and applicable permits. The following are considered incidental to the Lump Sum price: Mobilization and demobilization, Environmental compliance, Material Testing, Demolition and removal of existing boardwalk as specified, Temporary access and staging, Contractor supervision and quality control and Coordination with inspectors and County staff
All work shall be performed in strict accordance with: Construction plans and drawings, Technical specifications, Special provisions, and scope of work.
The existing beach access at Driftwood Drive does not provide adequate access to the beach and impedes the existing sand dunes. This project will provide a elevated boardwalk that will allow access for pedestrians up to the beach and will allow for continued growth and migration of the existing sand dunes. The project shall be held in strict compliance to the applicable environmental permits throughout construction.
