The Project consists of: Elevator upgrades at one mid-rise building with matching equipment and finishes. Work includes cables, counterweights, machine, car, cab interior, door replacement, battery lowering device, steel access door and hardware to elevator pit and electrical connection to new equipment and HVAC that serves elevator cab, hoistway and machine room. Installation of a new generator for emergency power to elevator.
The IFB is available to download at www.lhma.org/bids as of May 20, 2026. Filed Sub-Bids are due at the Lowell Housing Authority Dept. of Finance & Procurement, 350 Moody Street Lowell, MA 01854 by 11:00 AM on June 12, 2026, and General Contractor Bids are due by 11:00 AM on June 22, 2026.
