Parkland Gym Specifications

Sealed bids will be received by Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education at the Winston Salem/Forsyth County Schools Reginald Teague Maintenance Office located at 3810 North Liberty Street, Winston Salem, NC 27510 till 2:00 p.m., July 22nd , 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read for Parkland HS Gym Lighting Upgrades. Work shall include labor, material, equipment at full turn-key service.

Bids will be received for single-prime contractor. All proposals shall be lump sum.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders and vendors on July 8th , 2025 at 9:00 a.m. outside the main entrance at Parkland High School located at 1600 Brewer Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Site visits after the pre-bid meeting can be scheduled up till 3 days before bid opening. Site visit must be scheduled with project manager.

Prime contractors may obtain electronic copies of the Bidding Documents from the office of the owner by emailing esjessup@wsfcs.k12.nc.us.

Bidders shall use complete sets of Bidding Documents in preparing bids, neither the Owner nor the Engineer assumes responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents.

All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license as required under the state laws governing their respective trades.

NOTE: The bidders shall identify on its bid proposal the minority business participation it will use on the project. Forms are included within the Proposal Form in the bid documents. Failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection of the Bid. (GS143-128.2c Effective 1/1/2002)

A performance bond and payment bond will be required for 100% of the contract price.

Payment will be made based on 95% of monthly estimates and final payments made upon completion and acceptance of work.

No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduling closing time for the receipt of bids for the period of sixty days.

The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.

Bidders are highly encouraged to obtain a minimum of 10% MWBE participation.
