Description

The City of Greenville is assisting the Greenville Transit Authority (GTA) in Greenville, South Carolina in soliciting bids from qualified firms for a vendor to furnish Remanufactured or RER (Replacement Engine Request) Cummins complete engines for seven (7) of its transit buses. Buses were manufactured by Gillig and are powered by Cummins ISL engines. Each bus is 35’ in length and was manufactured from 2011-2012. Greenville Transit Authority d.b.a. Greenlink employees will be replacing the engines at its maintenance facility located at 205 Arcadia Drive, Greenville S.C. 29609.

The vendor will be responsible for delivering engines and picking up used cores; core returns and credits are required. Engines must be crated when delivered. Delivery and pick up must be done in a timely manner. Proposed vendors must be an approved Cummins Dealer or Distributor.

Bids will be received electronically until 2:00 P.M. ET, August 21, 2025. The deadline for questions is 2:00 p.m., July 31, 2025.
