Description:
The City of Greenville is seeking proposals for design services for a conceptually proposed loop trail called the Airport Loop Trail that will connect to the Swamp Rabbit Trail Green Line. The general route of the proposed loop trail follows the boundary of the Greenville Downtown Municipal Airport and is roughly encapsulated by North Pleasantburg to the west, Haywood Road to the east, Industrial Drive/Keith Drive to the South, and Woods Lake Road to the North. The project consists of public input, route development, route design and engineering, cost estimating and bid development, as well as value engineering and obtaining any necessary permits for construction. The Swamp Rabbit Trail Green Line existing routes in parallel to the Laurens Road corridor and is expected to be connected to the City’s upcoming Wheel Park project, located between the downtown airport’s southernmost taxiway and Airport Road.
