ADVERTISEMENT TO BID

The City of Benton Harbor is seeking bids to complete the Superior Street Resurfacing Project.

The project includes cold milling and asphalt resurfacing, sidewalk ramp improvements, and storm cleaning improvements on Superior St. from Emery Ave. to Empire Ave.

Bids shall be made out to City of Benton Harbor, 200 E Wall St, Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022, until 2:00 PM local time on December 18th, 2025 at which time and place said bids will be opened publicly.

Bids shall be sealed and shall have the name and address of the bidder and the contract for which the bid is being submitted on the outside of the envelope. All bidders shall bid in accordance with and upon the bid forms included in the contract documents. No bids will be received after the designated time stated above.

Electronic copies of the bidding documents are provided free of charge at www.abonmarche.com/bids. To be included in the Plan Holders List, you must register at the Abonmarche website. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, money order, or a Bid Bond, of a sum no less than 5 percent (5%) of the total bid amount, made payable to the City of Benton Harbor, as security for the proper execution of the Contract.

The project shall be fully completed no later than May 22nd, 2026. See additional information regarding contract times in the progress clause and agreement form provided in the bidding documents.

Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 90 days after submission.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality in bidding or to accept the bid, consistent with law, which best serves the interest of the Owner.
