The City of Benton Harbor extends to you an invitation to submit a bid for the furnishing of services in accordance with the instructions and specifications enclosed. The required services involve the cutting and removing of dead trees and downed trees and limbs and cleaning up their debris, and other debris, from city owned lots and any other assigned site(s) throughout the city.
The City will receive quotes in the Clerkâs Office, at City Hall 200 E. Wall Street, Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022 on or before Friday, January 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). (Deadline Extended)
Scope of Work The work shall include the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and tools necessary for the proper cutting and removal of dead trees and limbs, and clean-up of all debris as directed by the City's representative at listed sites in proposal.
All work must be completed within thirty (30) days of the date of contract execution. The lot clean-up, dead tree and limb cutting, and removal will include:
a) Cutting of identified dead trees, limbs, and other brush at designated site(s). While arrows in the attached photos indicate some trees on several lots to be removed, all dead trees on the lot must be removed;
b) Lifting, carrying, chipping and removal of cut dead trees and limbs; and 5
c) Removing miscellaneous debris and leveling any gouges and or holes to present the property in a neat and orderly manner.
d) Where standing dead trees, small tree growth and brush are cut, they should be cut as close to the ground as possible.
e) For all trash removed, Contractor must furnish proof (delivery tickets) of proper disposal of trash at a landfill.
