RFP-2027-DPH-02-LEADC: Outreach Strategies to Increase Lead-Safe Housing in NH
Division of Public Health
The Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (HHLPP) supports New Hampshire residents in reducing the risk of lead poisoning among New Hampshire residents, especially young children, pregnant women, and adults who live in older homes or engage in work or hobbies that involve lead. The program provides nurse case management and home inspections for children with elevated blood lead levels, licenses New Hampshire’s lead professionals, conducts statewide surveillance, and delivers outreach and education to communities. The program promotes awareness of home-based health hazards, provides tools to reduce or eliminate risks, conducts home assessments, supports policy and legislative efforts to improve housing conditions, and builds partnerships across public health, housing, and environment sectors.
